reNews: Fred Olsen takes FID on 88MW Windy Standard 3

Fred Olsen Renewables is moving forward with construction of the 88MW Windy Standard 3 Wind Farm, in Scotland, having taken a final investment decision.

The 20-turbine 87.6MW wind project is being installed in Dumfries and Galloway and is expected to be commissioned in December 2026.

The Scotsman: Green light given for massive 400MW battery energy storage system close to central Scotland village

Plans have been granted to build a giant battery storage facility near a village just five miles from Stirling.

Renewable energy storage specialist Apatura said the 400-megawatt (MW) capacity battery energy storage system
