insider: Renewables training scheme targets ex-military

The Energy Training Academy (ETA) is stepping up its bid to close the renewables skills gap by offering Scotland’s first direct route to becoming a low carbon heating engineer.

Working in conjunction with accreditation body the National Open College Network (NOCN), the Edinburgh-based education centre will become the first training provider in Scotland to offer the NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Low Carbon Heating Technician.

Circular: Net zero sector growing three times faster than UK economy

The net zero sector is growing three times faster than the overall UK economy, analysis by the CBI shows. Between 2023 and 2024, the net zero sector grew 10.1%.
