The Herald: Galloway National Park plans receive major vote in favour

South Ayrshire Council has voted to support the creation of a new national park.

The Galloway National Park will cover south and east Ayrshire and the council gathered public views on the matter before the council’s cabinet voted on the matter.

It decided to give a positive response, and the decision has been welcomed by the Galloway National Park Association.
