The Scottish Offshore Wind Energy Council (SOWEC) has published a report on how offshore wind developers can use innovation projects to help grow Scotland’s supply chain.

Developed in partnership with the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult, the SOWEC Innovation Guide highlights the “cutting-edge innovation” happening right across Scotland.

Circular: 69% of Scots want urgent investment in local authority recycling

69% of Scots believe the Scottish Government “must urgently” invest in local authority recycling.

The survey, commissioned by Alupro, also found 61% of Scots believe the Scottish Government should implement a deposit return scheme (DRS) by 2027 at the latest.

insider: Most Scots 'want more North Sea oil and gas' to meet energy needs

More than seven in 10 Scots back drilling in the North Sea to reduce the country’s reliance on foreign imports.

The survey, carried out by Survation on behalf of consultancy firm True North, found people in Scotland would rather their energy needs be met domestically than from abroad.

letsrecycle: Asda to introduce instore coffee pod recycling service

Asda and coffee pod recycling scheme Podback will introduce a coffee pod collection service in over 600 Asda stores across the UK. 

As coffee pods are not suitable for recycling through traditional means, they have to be collected separately.
